[SOLVED] ndis.sys causing latency issues (online video / audio stuttering)

Hi all, it's been awhile.

So lately I've been experiencing weird video and audio stuttering while watching Youtube / Soundcloud. It has never happened to me prior to upgrading to Windows 10 so I had no idea why or how it happened.

I scoured through Google for help, but mostly to no avail, and almost fucked up my laptop by using a driver updating software (lesson learnt: never trust them e.g Drivermax / Tweakbit, usually your laptop / PC can function normally without the need for REGULAR driver updates so don't worry too much!).

Then I came across this brilliant solution, and finally fixed it once and for all.

Okay first off there was this Youtube video talking about installing an older version of some Intel network driver. It didn't work for me as the installation window said I didn't have any Intel adapters present. But hear me out yeah.

There is a fair chance that this ndis.sys latency issue is caused by your WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTERS. After porting over to Windows 10, there might have been some compatibility issue and Windows did not recognise the need to update this specific driver. Mine was Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter. Then I found this unofficial website with all the downloads for Atheros drivers, and found that my specific model had a Windows 10 version, which Microsoft had completely ignored.

So yeah, after updating it manually through Device Manager, the issue was fixed once and for all.

Thanks for reading!! And share this if it worked for you!
